What do I mean by this?
When we opened the doors at Solutions, two years ago, I had a few simple rules for myself and our agents. One of the most important rules was ?never hand me a piece of paper?.
The story actually started several years ago. I wrote a blog post in Aug of 2009 that I titled ?I want a paperless office, am I wrong??
Back then, I was already using digital signatures and electronic communication, but the challenge was that others needed to accept communication in this form.
At first this was a little difficult, but with a little help from technology and with the continual acceptance of digital signatures, I am proud to say that, at Solutions we are still a paperless office.
One of our agents recently commented on this subject by saying this
I can?t imagine how much MORE paper I would have in my office if we didn?t do this! ?I?m glad we?re on the leading edge
SIDE NOTE: I actually turned off my Fax number several years ago. Whenever I have someone, or some firm, ask me for my fax number, I?cringe a little.
Let?s all save a tree, go paperless, go green!
DEFINITION:?The?paperless office?was a?publicist?s slogan, meant to describe the?office of the future. The basic idea was that office automation would make?paper?redundant for routine tasks such as record-keeping and?bookkeeping. The idea came to prominence with the introduction of the?personal computer
